{"id":3277,"date":"2018-01-26T13:54:14","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T12:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mndsupport.wpengine.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=3277\/"},"modified":"2022-03-11T15:33:42","modified_gmt":"2022-03-11T14:33:42","slug":"in-which-cases-are-emails-being-sent","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/helpstaging.mynewsdesk.com\/en\/faq\/in-which-cases-are-emails-being-sent\/","title":{"rendered":"In which cases are emails being sent with the content I publish?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The moment you publish content on Mynewsdesk, it is sent by email to subscribers, followers and your own contact lists, though there are a few exemptions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We won\u2019t send an email when you<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">edit content that has already been published<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">publish events, images, videos, documents or contacts (unless adding own contact lists for event distribution)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mndsupport.wpengine.com\/faq\/publish-content-in-newsroom-without-sending-emails\/\">deactivate email distribution<\/a>\u00a0(by ticking the checkbox \u201cOnly publish in Newsroom without sending e-mails to Newsroom followers and subscribers.\u201d)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">choose to backdate a publishing date for more than 2 days<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In summary, you can say that an email is sent when you publish a press release, news story or blog post for the first time, not deactivating distribution or backdating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An exception applies to published material that has yet not been distributed due to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mndsupport.wpengine.com\/faq\/publish-content-in-newsroom-without-sending-emails\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">backdating by more than 2 days<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or due to having been published before the pressroom went live.
