{"id":3278,"date":"2018-01-26T16:29:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T15:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mndsupport.wpengine.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=3278\/"},"modified":"2021-08-24T14:11:00","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T13:11:00","slug":"publish-content-in-newsroom-without-sending-emails","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/helpstaging.mynewsdesk.com\/en\/faq\/publish-content-in-newsroom-without-sending-emails\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I publish content in my newsroom without sending any emails?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The moment you publish a press release, news or blog post on Mynewsdesk, it is normally automatically being sent by email to subscribers and followers of your newsroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can easily deactivate this email distribution by ticking the <strong>checkbox<\/strong> that says <\/span><strong><i>\u201cOnly publish in Newsroom without sending e-mails to Newsroom followers and subscribers.\u201d<\/i><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will find the checkbox in the <strong>distribution settings<\/strong>, in the section <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visibility in Newsroom<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To access the distribution settings, create a new piece of content in <\/span><b><i>Publish<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, add your basic information, related content etc. and click on <\/span><b><i>Save and continue <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the lower right corner. If you already have a draft, find your content in <\/span><b><i>Publish<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and click on the three dots menu to directly access <\/span><b><i>Distribution<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that with the checkbox being ticked, emails will still be distributed to your own contacts, if you have selected lists for distribution.
